About the position:

Join a leading outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation clinic! As a CHT, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with upper extremity conditions. Your expertise will help patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with a variety of upper extremity conditions, including fractures, tendonitis, nerve injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, such as:
    • Manual therapy techniques
    • Therapeutic exercises
    • Modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation)
    • Splinting and fabrication
    • Occupational therapy interventions (for OTs)
    • Physical therapy interventions (for PTs)
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and home exercise programs to promote optimal recovery.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, surgeons, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision to physical therapy and occupational therapy assistants, as needed.

  • Licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist
  • Certified Hand Therapist
