Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer (Hybrid)

Job description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to join their team in London, Kingston, or Kitchener, Ontario. As a key member of the electrical engineering team, you will design and draft electrical systems for various building services projects. Responsibilities include:

– Designing power distribution and generation systems, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data communications systems
– Creating drawings in AutoCAD and REVIT
– Coordinating with clients, contractors, and sales representatives
– Conducting site visits and construction phase services
– Collaborating with other engineering disciplines

Qualifications:

– 10+ years of electrical design experience in the building construction industry, with at least 5 years in Ontario
– University degree in Electrical Engineering
– Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
– Strong knowledge of OBC, OESC, and other relevant codes
– Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
– Ability to work well under deadlines and lead teams
– Experience in various industry sectors (multi-unit residential (MUR), healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional)
