About the job
As a key member of the commercial team, the Regional Sales Manager for LATAM North will promote Psomagens research genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic services to acquire new customers and nurture them to become longstanding accounts. Focusing primarily on Academic, Government, and
Biotech sectors, this role will work cross-functionally to develop and execute a sales plan driving revenue growth in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of NGS markets, and the ability to seamlessly manage cross-border sample logistics to our laboratories in the US or South Korea.
This role is remote role and can be based anywhere in the same time zones (GMT 5~8); Sao Paulo, Brazil, Bogota, Colombia, Buenos Aires, Argentia preferred
Responsibilities
As part of the NGS Sales team and under general supervision:
* Drive sales of Psomagens omic services to new customers within the designated territory, through face-to-face visits and visual communication methods.
* Effectively discover, qualify, and close sales opportunities of new and existing accounts within academic institutions, government research centers, and local biotech companies
* Build & maintain relationships with customer accounts at a high level, and develop appropriate business relationships with principal investigators (PIs), decision-makers, and influencers.
* Develop and perform daily maintenance of all account/contact details within Psomagens CRM(HubSpot).
* Arrange and oversee the proper and timely shipment of biological samples (e.g., DNA, RNA,Tissues) from local researchers to Psomagens laboratories in the US or South Korea.
* Guide customers through international shipping documentation, customs clearance requirements, and coordinate with specialized bio-couriers to prevent any delays or sample degradation.
* Provide regular and accurate sales forecast updates including billed and in-process customer projects.
Qualifications:
Qualifications & Preference
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences related majors (Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, etc.).
3+ years of experience in direct sales and/or marketing of NGS Services or molecular biology products.
Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish and professional fluency in English.
Working knowledge of international shipping regulations for biological samples and experience coordinating with specialized cold-chain couriers.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in Science field a plus.
Pre-existing network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and distributors in genomics across Brazil and Argentina.
