Job description:

Must be a US Citizen and local to Cincinnati.

Someone with grit who is practical, resourceful, and comfortable solving problems with the resources available. The right person will have a duct tape and paperclips mindset, roll up their sleeves, work effectively with employees at every level, and take ownership through completion.

This is not a role for someone who wants to remain behind a desk or manage projects only through outside vendors. Recruiters should look for candidates who can combine sound chemical engineering fundamentals with plant-floor troubleshooting, capital project execution, controls or automation exposure, and a collaborative approach.

The preferred candidate has approximately five years of experience and is looking for a company where they can grow long term.

Key Experience Areas

  • Capital project development, budgeting, implementation, and completion
  • Plant controls programming and troubleshooting
  • Process controls support and improvement
  • Process automation design and implementation
  • Equipment and technology implementation
  • Training operating personnel on new equipment and technologies
  • Engineering standards and technical documentation
  • Process and product development support
  • PSM, EHS, Quality Management System, and ISO compliance
  • Coordination with outside engineering firms when specialized expertise is required

Preferred Experience

  • APG production experience, particularly alkyl polyglucosides or related biodegradable, non-ionic surfactants, would be a major advantage
  • Schneider Electric controls or systems knowledge
  • Additional chemical manufacturing project experience

Qualifications:

Nonnegotiable Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Approximately five years of relevant process or project engineering experience
  • Chemical process industry experience
  • Experience developing and managing capital projects and budgets
  • Ability and willingness to work hands-on in the plant
  • Strong communication, organization, ownership, and execution skills

Why is This a Great Opportunity:
