Our client, a highly respected AmLaw firm with a sophisticated national real estate practice, is seeking talented mid-level and senior Real Estate Associates to join its expanding New York team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions alongside a collaborative group of attorneys known for excellence, mentorship, and a strong commitment to professional development.
 

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 3–8+ years of substantive experience (mid-level or senior) in real estate transactions

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Mortgage and mezzanine financing (lender and/or borrower side)

    • Joint-venture equity transactions

    • Acquisitions and dispositions

    • Development projects

  • Strong candidates with non–real estate transactional backgrounds will also be considered

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex deal workflows and client communications

  • Commitment to a positive team culture, mentorship, and long-term professional growth

  • Excellent drafting skills, commercial judgment, and attention to detail

  • Large law firm experience preferred

 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Represent clients in mortgage and mezzanine financings, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and development matters

  • Draft and negotiate loan documents, JV agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and related transactional materials

  • Support all phases of real estate transactions, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing

  • Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, tax, and finance teams to execute sophisticated real estate deals

  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice

Compensation & Benefits
 
Competitive Salary: $260,000 – $435,000+, commensurate with experience and class year.
Bonuses: Discretionary and performance based
