A leading AmLaw 50 international law firm is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney to join its Employment & Trade Secrets Litigation Practice Group. This is a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic, non-traditional employment practice representing cutting-edge companies across the technology, life sciences, green energy, and cleantech sectors. Associates in this group handle sophisticated litigation, complex counseling matters, and employment issues arising in high-impact corporate transactions.

 


 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 3–5 years of substantive experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling
  • Demonstrated experience litigating employment disputes, including trade secret misappropriation, restrictive covenant enforcement, and contract-related claims
  • Experience advising clients on workplace issues such as terminations, leaves of absence, and employment policy drafting and review
  • Background counseling on employment mobility matters including non-competes, employee non-solicitation, and trade secrets
  • Experience advising on employment-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and intellectually rigorous practice environment

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in complex employment litigation matters including trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes
  • Handle high-profile discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination matters
  • Conduct internal investigations and provide strategic employment counseling
  • Advise fast-growing companies on day-to-day employment law compliance and workforce management
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and related documentation
  • Support corporate transactions by advising on employment-related diligence and risk mitigation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range is $260,000–$365,000, commensurate with experience and class year
