Our client, a leading management-side labor and employment AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its Orlando office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong litigation experience who is interested in handling sophisticated employment matters in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

The team provides experienced, knowledgeable, and practical counsel to help organizations protect their valuable assets, strategically hire from rival companies, and sustain their competitive edge. Attorneys in this practice regularly advise clients on complex workplace disputes, unfair competition matters, and trade secrets issues, delivering solutions that are both legally sound and business-focused.

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
  • 3-8 years of substantive labor and employment law experience
  • Significant experience in employment litigation, including matters in state and federal courts
  • Exposure to unfair competition and trade secrets experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and as part of a team
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively within team-based environments
  • Experience gained at a large or well-regarded law firm preferred

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation matters, from inception through resolution, including single-plaintiff and complex disputes
  • Represent management in employment-related claims before state and federal courts and administrative agencies 
  • Advise clients on protecting confidential information, trade secrets, and other proprietary assets
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and participate in depositions and hearings 
  • Advise clients on day-to-day employment issues and risk mitigation strategies 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop litigation strategy and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary Range: $200,000 – $315,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
